Visa & Documents

A work visa to Poland is issued on the basis of an annual voivodeship invitation from the employer. An annual invitation from the voivode to work is official proof that the Polish side invites its owner to work. Such an invitation has a specific place of registration, as a rule, it is located at the place of residence (or registration of the company) Voivodeship Office for Foreigners.
Importantly, the holder of a genuine voivodeship invitation (zezwolenie na pracę) cannot be denied with a visa. The consul is actually subordinate to the voivode, and therefore is obliged to issue a visa to the owner of an invitation from him.
